703 WEST PECAN B

Special Features:

Located in a wonderful family neighborhood (many of the houses in both the 700 and 800 block street are owner occupied) but still a rental unit, this has been a grad student’s and “townie” delight. Pecan Street is approximately 3 blocks north of Main Street and 703 is approximately one block east of Oakland on the south side of the street.(the 700 and 800 block are one long block on the south side of the street – Allyn deadends at Pecan.) Several bus lines are within a three block walk of the house. Technically, this is a duplex, but it does not have a common wall: it has a common breezeway style roof between the 1 bedroom flat that is located behind the house (B) and the three bedroom house in the front (A). Parking is on street with permit issued by the city; off street in the driveway accessed from Pecan Street or in the parking lot that is accessed from the alley that runs from Oakland to 701 Pecan Street. The front of the flat faces the parking lot off the alley. 703 W Pecan B exterior 1: The building was added onto the lot as a possible one bedroom flat for a parent. There are large windows on the bedroom side of the building that are not apparent from the photographs. The kitchen appliances include refrigerator, stove, and dishwasher. The full size washer and dryer are located in a closet between the kitchen and large bathroom. Both kitchen, bath and hallway are done in an ivory ceramic tile. There also is a “landing pad” of ceramic tile by the front door. There is a full wall of closet in the bedroom.
